Ms. Sheldon has extensive experience in cultural resource management supervising the excavation of pre-contact and historic sites in both Nova Scotia and Ontario. The most notable sites researched and excavated include the lighthouses at the Fortress of Louisbourg, various components of Citadel Hill and the Halifax Defence Complex including George's Island and McNab's Island, and a precontact — protohistoric site at the Head of Jeddore, Nova Scotia. She has also provided supervision, excavation and monitoring for various development projects including the natural gas pipeline from Goldboro to New Brunswick, the lateral pipeline to Dartmouth, and the Halifax Harbour Cleanup project.
