Royal Irish Rifles

About the Regiment:

They arrived in Kingston on the 6th of May 1838. In November the many attempts to land reinforcements at Prescott had failed. The button has a wreath around the edge, a crown on the top and an "83" in the center.

West Norfork Regiment

About the Regiment:

The regiment was stationed in America and came to Canada on the 25th of November 1783 they went to Fort Cumberland, Nova Scotia. Then in 1786 they went on to St. Johns N.B. On the 30th of October 1791 on the H.M.S went back to the United Kingdom. They came to Quebec in July of 1851 from the West Indies. In May of 1853 the came to Kingston, and in 1854 to the U.K but 150 ranks discharged in Canada. This button has a wreath around the edge, a crown on the top and a "54" in the center.

The Hampshire Regiment

About the Regiment:

James Wolfe was the first colonel from 1758-59. They arrived in Quebec on the 22nd of May on the H.M.S Sapphire. On May of 1841they went to Drummondville on the Niagara Peninsula. On the 18th they went to Montreal. November 3rd 1842 on Pestonjee Bomonjee transport at Quebec for the United Kingdom. The button is a plane circular button indented the numbers "67".
