This button is from the 83rd regiment of foot. This regiment was based in America from 1781- 1783 and never came to Canada. This button has laurels on each side and a crown at the top. This button could have been traded from an American solider to a Canadian solider so that they could remember each other, or the solider could have been transfer to Canada and threw away his old buttons when he got his new ones here.
This button has laurels on each side and a crown at the top. This button is missing the button eye and parts of the edges are breaking off. This button is mostly flat.
