CARF logo

The trowel symbolizes the practice of archaeology.

Fort Frontenac symbol

The silhouette of Fort Frontenac suggests historical archaeology; a clay pipe or a bottle-seal is often used to represent historical archaeology, but since the excavation of Fort Frontenac was the reason for which the Foundation was created, the fort was chosen to serve this purpose in the logo.

Projectile point

The projectile point signifies prehistoric archaeology.
