Public Day

Please join us on July 27th from 2pm-4pm for our 16th annual Public Day at the excavation site of the Cataraqui Archaeological Research Foundation's "Can You Dig It?"© Archaeology Camp, Eastern Ontario's only archaeology camp. Each year the Foundation's annual Public Day gives the public the opportunity to see an excavation underway. Meet the staff of the Foundation and camp participants at Canada's Penitentiary Museum, 555 King Street West (corner of Sir John A. MacDonald and King St.). There will be an opening address at 2:15 pm given by Dr. Charlene Murphy, The new Director of Archaeology for the Foundation, followed by tours of the site and refreshments. This will be an excellent opportunity to see what has been excavated so far this year.
